Democrats feigned outrage and empathy as the second recent mass shooting saw Texas elementary school children and teachers tragically murdered by an 18-year-old gunman. Truth be told, Joe Biden and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer embraced the slaughter of innocent children because it raises an issue that could prompt liberals to vote come November. The second mass killing on Biden’s watch also provides political cover to distract from a horrifically incompetent White House.
Sen. Schumer was quick to press for a vote on what he and anti-Second Amendment radicals call “sensible” gun control. These are code words for confiscation and eliminating private gun ownership while violent criminals run roughshod. The New York senator was equally quick to retreat, knowing any bill Democrats put forward would not even garner full support from his constituency. Better to sling mud at Republicans who support lawful, responsible firearm ownership and let the fake news media invent another false narrative.
“There are some who want this body to quickly vote on sensible gun safety legislation, legislation supported by the vast majority of Americans. They want to see this body vote quickly, so the American people can know which side each senator is on. I’m sympathetic to that, and I believe that accountability votes are important,” Sen. Schumer reportedly said. “Sadly, this isn’t a case of the American people now knowing where their senators stand. They know. They know because my Republican colleagues are perfectly clear on this issue. Crystal clear.”
The New York Democrat was less enthusiastic about holding a vote when a lone gunman opened fire in a Tops Friendly Markets store in Buffalo. The Empire States ranks among the Top 10 most restrictive in terms of “sensible” gun control, with radicalized California considered the most anti-Second Amendment of all. Texas typically falls somewhere in the middle, requiring background checks and imposing harsh punishments for illegal weapons usage.
Yet, 18-year-old Payton Gendron legally qualified to purchase firearms in New York, just as Salvador Ramos, also 18, did in Texas. More than 30 people needlessly lost their lives between the two shootings, and the gun laws in New York, Texas, or California would not have prevented the deaths. Given these facts are not a CNN fabrication — widely considered the leader in fake news — where does that leave an ailing American public?
The hard data points to Democrat strongholds suffering the highest number of murders and mass shootings despite passing the most restrictive gun laws. For example, California sustained the most mass shootings since 1982, outpacing Texas by a nearly 2-to-1 margin. And Chicago posted another banner year of murders in 2021, with 797 residents losing their lives to needless violence.
Driven by the excessive gun violence in Chicago, Illinois led the country in multiple shooting homicides in 2021. And like Democrat-run California and New York, Illinois also ranks among the Top 10 most restrictive states.
By contrast, South Dakota is widely considered to possess the “weakest” or least restrictive firearm laws. The state stands with others in terms of permit-less Constitutional Carry and respects conceal carry reciprocity. The Mount Rushmore State has not suffered a mass shooting in at least 40 years. And the entire state with the most lenient gun laws sustained only 40 intentional homicides in 2021.
Given that 2.69 million people reside in Chicago, against 879,000 in South Dakota, a mathematically equivalent comparison seems fair. A 3-to-1 ratio puts South Dakota at 120 murders, which still pales by comparison to Chicago’s 797 last year alone. And highly-populated California is the only state with more than 2,000 intentional homicides in 2021.
Truth be told, the mass shootings and escalating murders are closely linked to mental health struggles. The Buffalo, New York, shooter was referred for a mental health evaluation and held for more than 24 hours. Unfortunately, professionals did not render a diagnosis that could have led to an intervention.
It’s also easy to see that Democrat strongholds post higher poverty rates, crime, homelessness, and drug addiction. That’s largely why former Pres. Donald J. Trump pushed to increase mental health resources and make opioid addiction rehabilitation a White House priority.
These are not core values of the Biden Administration. Rather, the far-left is determined to destroy the U.S. oil industry, regardless of the inflation and economic pressure it levels on struggling American families. We are in the midst of a mental health crisis, and Democrats are adding fuel to the fire. Firearms don’t kill people, Democrats do.

I have always believed that democrats are responsible for every mass shooting to the point that they find some idiot, offer them money or drugs to commit these terrible crimes. This is my opinion on this subject.
Not far off Herman. The 18 YRO gunman who was a H/S drop out, some how, was able to afford a $70,000 truck, The rifles, ammo & vest he bought on a part time jobs salary. In addition he was a Transgender FREAK- cross dresser.
Who gave him the money for all that stuff, certainly not his poor grandparents or mother. What was he to do, to pay back all the money he got to buy all the expensive stuff he had. WHO provided the funds? His Handler? The feds made sure he was not taken alive. Very Strang indeed.
