One can always trust that the Biden’s will say something offensive and stupid, usually coming from the elder statesman, but this time it was “Dr” Jill Biden’s turn to put her foot in her mouth during a speech.
The First Lady was giving a speech at the 2022 UnidosUS Annual Conference in Texas, and while singing the praises of Hispanics and the “Quest for Equity,” she managed to anger every single Hispanic in attendance when she compared local Hispanics – to a breakfast taco.
During her speech, Biden said, “the diversity of this community, as distinct as the bodegas of the Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio, is your strength.”
The National Association of Hispanic Journalists were livid by Jill Biden’s comments and in a statement, they said, “We are not tacos.”
The statement in full read:
“Using breakfast tacos to try to demonstrate the uniqueness of Latinos in San Antonio demonstrates a lack of cultural knowledge and sensitivity to the diversity of Latinos in the region,”
NAHJ encourages Dr. Biden and her speech writing team to take the time in the future to better understand the complexities of our people and communities
We are not tacos.
“Our heritage as Latinos is shaped by a variety of diasporas, cultures and food traditions, and should not be reduced to a stereotype.”
The slip up is not surprising, Jill’s husband, Joe Biden, barely knows who is in office right now and who he “won” the 2020 election against – once slipping on stage, suggesting Bush was his opponent (not sure if he meant Senior or Junior) and is often confused and walks around often looking dazed.
The Biden administration and the Biden family are an embarrassment to the United States and make the rest of America look foolish, because apparently 81 million people voted for this family to be in charge.
One thing the comment did reveal, is Jill Biden’s lack of awareness, and obvious incompetence when it comes to looking over her speeches before she gives them and it begs the question as to the validity of her degrees, if she can’t even write her own speeches, or have enough foresight to not make such an insensitive comment in the first place.
Perhaps if Jill Biden was more in tune with what is going on around her, she wouldn’t have her own daughter Ashley, accusing her father of having inappropriate showers with her while she was a child.
Also, perhaps instead of pretending to be a doctor, Jill Biden should have spent more time guiding the Biden children away from drug-addiction. One thing is for sure, Jill Biden is not Melania Trump.

The sentence wasn’t racist to me who looks at understanding a complete message. The irony is that Dr. Biden, a supporter and practitioner of politically correct language, should know better. Stupid is, as stupid does.
Maybe Jill should have taken this advice?
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt.
