It is unsurprising that the Democrats would use the tragic events that unfolded at Robb Elementary School as the excuse they need to bring in further gun control laws and they are currently planning to have their latest package considered in the House Judiciary Committee this Thursday.
The Democrats dubbed the new package as “Protecting Our Kids” – ironic when you consider Democrats are also behind mass abortion of innocent babies – and the package is said to include eight bills that will undoubtedly erode the right of citizens to bear arms through the Second Amendment.
The package includes provisions to ban high-capacity magazines, an increase of age to purchase weapons from 18 years to 21 years, bump stocks will be banned for civilians and those who already have them must register them with the government.
The definition of “ghost guns” will also be changed, to allow them to fall under background checks at point of sale, penalties will be increased for gun trafficking, and it will be mandated how Americans can store their guns in their homes.

Ethan’s Law (H.R. 748, Rep. Rosa DeLauro of Connecticut)
The Safe Guns, Safe Kids Act (H.R. 6370, Rep. Elissa Slotkin of Michigan)
The Kimberly Vaughan Firearm Safe Storage Act (H.R. 130, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas)
Closing the Bump Stock Loophole Act (H.R. 5427, Rep. Dina Titus of Nevada)
The Keep Americans Safe Act (H.R. 2510, Rep. Ted Deutch of Florida)
The Democrats appear to have enough votes to pass the new package in the House and a vote will be held next week on various bills.
If the package is successful in passing through the House, it will then move on to the Senate where it must reach the 60-vote threshold to be passed on to Biden’s desk.
Minority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) instructed Sen. John Cornyn (R-KY) to work with Democrats on gun control measures.
“I’ve encouraged him to talk to Sen. Sinema, Sen. Murphy and others who are interested in trying to get an outcome that’s directly related to the problem. I am hopeful that we could come up with a bipartisan solution that’s directly related to the facts of this awful massacre,” McConnell stated, referring to the deadly shooting at Robb elementary school in Uvalde, TX, last week.
President Biden made it clear during his Memorial Day speech that he believes the Second Amendment is not absolute.
“It makes no sense to be able to purchase something that can fire up to 300 rounds. There’s only one reason to buy a gun that can fire 100 rounds,” Biden claimed. “The Constitution, the Second Amendment was never absolute.”
That is according to Biden, who of course would want the rights of Americans stripped from them as he continues to throw the United States into further debt and inflation.
The Democrats are using this to make sure that they can keep the American people under control.
