Sensible individuals and medical professionals have long warned that young children are not mature enough to give “informed consent” to taking puberty blockers in order to prevent the natural process of turning into a “cis-gender” adult. However, a crazed LGBTQ activist is now trying to turn this stance on its head by stating that every single child should be given puberty blockers during their teen years — because children are “not old enough to consent to puberty.”
The claim is made by none other than Zinnia Jones, a transgender woman who used be a gay man by the name of Zachary Antolak. Jones now identifies as female, and is in a polyamorous relationship with a lesbian woman and a transgender woman.
Jones is not a medical specialist, but rather a self-proclaimed “Queen of Atheism” who had a troubled childhood and currently makes a living by pushing atheistic and transgender activism on YouTube. Given that fact, it’s not hard to understand the failure to understand basic biological facts.
No, children do not get to “choose” to go through puberty; it’s a natural process that comes whether one likes it or not. However, blocking it would cause irreparable harm to boys and girls alike. It’s a known fact that the effects of these hormones are permanent, which means that a young person cannot undo the damage even if he or she would like to be cisgender.
What’s more, the negative side effects of these hormones include severe joint pain, lowered immunity to illness, osteoporosis, and mental health problems such as suicidal thoughts and depression. Forcing children to stop the natural growth process and subject themselves too dangerous, invasive treatments simply to satisfy crazed transgender activists is downright abusive.
It’s odd that the same liberals who proclaim that “following the science” is a must when dealing with the coronavirus are so adamantly against “following the science” when dealing with transgenderism. A person is born either male or female; taking hormones can change one’s outward appearance but not one’s genes.
Transgender individuals have to take hormones for life and undergo extensive surgery to become the person they want to be. The end result is often not only problematic, but also disappointing, which is why many transgender individuals wind up reverting to their birth sex.
Jones’ stance that every child should receive puberty blockers until they are “old enough to decide” is not only misguided but dangerous. It once again shows that far-left activists aren’t happy to “live and let live.”
Sick. Twisted. PERIOD.
When we open up these (abnormal) issues; it only follows that we also open up dialog on the emotional baggage it carries from us all. Once we start creating laws to give moral and legal authority, it seems it is too late to backpedal.
