Why is Biden flying illegal immigrants across the country during the night? That’s the question many are asking after reports this week that immigrants from the border are appearing on planes in the middle of the night in New York.
When White House press secretary Jen Psaki was asked about the curious situation during a Tuesday press briefing, her initial words said it all. “Well…” she paused, “I’m not sure it’s in the middle of the night.”
Her only defense was to argue about the timing. She had no response to deny the Biden administration is literally flying thousands of illegal immigrants from the border to New York and other states nationwide. While she didn’t deny it, she also provided no adequate answer for the questionable practice.
Why would the Biden admin do such a thing? And why at night? There are more questions than there are answers. The “why at night” part isn’t too difficult to understand. If Biden wanted the world to know, he would have scheduled the flights in the middle of the day and given the media access.
Instead, the late night secrecy clearly indicates the Biden administration is doing its best to hide its efforts.
The explanation behind why thousands of illegal immigrants are being flown into other states thousands of miles from the southern border is more difficult to understand. Some argue Democrats are spreading out future voters to provide victories at the ballot box. There may be some truth to the view, but these immigrants are unlikely to be eligible to vote anytime soon.
Instead, government and non-profit groups are working together to rehouse thousands of illegal immigrants. To do so effectively, the immigrants can’t all show up to one city. Del Rio was proof that strategy wouldn’t last a few days. Instead, immigrants being relocated in smaller groups nationwide, where government assistance programs are coordinating housing, education, jobs and other needs to help people with their new life in America.
And why not? The other options would be to arrest people crossing the border, deport them or to deny entry before their crossing. The Biden administration is determined not to do this, fearing they may appear to even look a little bit like Trump’s policies.
But now nearly every major town across America is seeing new immigrant faces showing up at the grocery, department stores, parks, schools and other locations. It may not seem like too big of a deal, but it’s happening in nearly every state, and it’s happening rather quickly.
Instead of focusing on building back better, Biden is literally rebuilding America out of people from other nations. We’re on track for two million illegal immigrants, not including got-aways, just this year. That can’t last for long without serious negative impact on those already living here.
What can we do about it? It’s hard to know. But is definitely includes backing new leadership in the midterms, and speaking out on ways to limit the number of illegal immigrants crossing our nation’s border.
