Trump Wants to Launch His Own Social Media Site

If you’re a conservative who cares about the future of the country and shared heartfelt thoughts and opinions online, then you’ve probably had a few posts taken down. You might even have had your channel demonetized. Have you ever noticed how similar that word is to “demonized?” Anyway, it’s certain that you have seen some of your favorite conservative commentators shut down, their channels banned, and even their bank accounts closed just for not believing every word that drips from the lips of CNN anchors.

All throughout the Trump Administration, Trump supporters watched in numb horror as the lies about their ideas and their candidates poured out of their TV sets like electric sewage. We waited and waited for the president to do something about it, but he just didn’t seem to be in the right frame of mind or didn’t have the power.

Now, after being the first president in history to be banned from the public square (with the possible effective exception of Richard Nixon) Donald Trump is poised to do what he does best, build something big and shiny. He has plans to start his own social media platform sometime between now and Summer.

Spokesman for Trump’s 2020 campaign, Jason Miller told Newsmax this week that Trump would “[…] enter the social media market with a new digital platform of his own that would “entirely redefine the game.”

Miller had no further comment and the Trump organization has not released any statements on the subject. Still, this is great news for the Alt-Media which has been going strong for some time now, but lack of media coverage has left its presence mostly unnoticed. Dave Rubin started Locals, a platform that is 100% censorship-free. Jordan Peterson and associates started Thinkspot after Patreon started banning people arbitrarily. Gab, Rumble, Brand New Tube, and especially Bitchute have been around for some time now and are more or less censorship-free. Streamanity is the new home of the cross-platform-banned Stefan Molyneux, and Alex Jones is more popular than ever over on Banned.video.

But all of these social media sites lack one thing, the white-hot celebrity and the media savvy of the big man himself, Donald Trump.

Last week Twitter published a statement claiming that it would seek guidance on how and when it should silence world leaders in its platform. Regular readers will know the forthcoming answer to that question, which is that world leaders will be banned who contradict the “progressive” narrative, criticize the communist Chinese government, promote national security, the right to self-defense, self-determination… You’ve heard it all before.

All of that aside, it is well known that Trump was by far the biggest boon to Twitter’s bottom line in the history of the site. That being the case, it would be reasonable to expect that Trump’s new social media site will attract hundreds of millions of users for two reasons. First, because Trump is flipping magnetic — and second because CNN will spasmodically report everything he does on the platform.
