Far-Left Democrats Prepare to Pounce on the First Amendment

As a senator, Joe Biden played a key role in creating the Patriot Act. As a President, he and other Democrat politicians are gearing up to suppress basic rights even further with the creation of a new “domestic terrorism bill” that can be used to target conservatives.

The warning signs have been clearly visible for the last couple of months. In fact, back in November 2020, the President-elect stated that he supported red-flag laws and wanted to put a priority on passing legislation to combat “domestic terrorism.” At the same time, his advisors were publicly urging him to create a new White House position for someone to oversee the fight against “ideologically inspired violent extremists”.

The events of January 6, 2021, may have simply given the Biden Administration the excuse they need to do what they’ve always wanted – strip rights from designated “enemies.”

The President has not clarified what a new “domestic terrorism” bill would look like. However, it’s not hard to see how such a bill could be misused. The Speaker of the House is already condemning people who “have chosen their whiteness over democracy” without noting that tens of millions of President Trump’s supporters aren’t white. Social media outlets, long-known for being biased against conservative pundits, have conducted a massive purge, eliminating tens of millions of Twitter accounts, Facebook accounts, and YouTube channels. Even former Congressman Ron Paul, a long-standing critic of both President Trump and his successor, was locked out of his Facebook account.

If the new bill prohibits certain types of “hate speech”, it could be easily used against liberally any alternative news outlet. If the bill speaks out against the automatic condemnation of white people as “supremacists,” then anyone who doesn’t continually beg the world’s forgiveness for being born white could be in big trouble.

It would be surprising indeed if bill didn’t allow for legal action against anyone who dares to question the outcome of state and national elections — even though individuals on both sides of the aisle have been doing this for years. In fact, the Democratic Party as a whole has been questioning the results of the 2016 Presidential election non-stop.

Rioting, the destruction of government property, and violence of any sort are already illegal under state and national laws. The move to create new domestic terrorism laws isn’t about keeping the nation safe. It’s about purging people who speak out against the liberal agenda. Such laws should be condemned by anyone who cares about freedom of speech.
