Biden Claims Success in Leaving Afghanistan While Leaving Americans Behind

President Joe Biden addressed the nation on Tuesday, referring to his failed military departure from Afghanistan as an “extraordinary success.”

This could be the worst misinformation on the internet and worthy of blocking on social media. Let us count the ways Biden’s “extraordinary success” is demonstrably false.

First and foremost, Biden is directly responsible for leaving hundreds, if not thousands, of Americans in Afghanistan under the control of the Taliban. That alone should be enough to impeach the president, period.

But that’s just a warm up in this hot mess of Biden’s Afghanistan failures. Second, Biden left billions (yes, billions with a B) of dollars of U.S. military equipment behind for the Taliban. One report estimated the aircraft alone makes the Taliban the 26th leading Air Force in the world.

That’s in addition to thousands of weapons, rounds of ammunition, clothing, food, structures, vehicles and even some tanks in there. Biden didn’t just leave. He left Christmas presents galore for the enemy.

Third, he let Afghanistan fall into the hands of radicals before American citizens and military even finished leaving. Yes, many Americans realized Afghanistan would likely fall back into its old control system after American military left. But it didn’t have to happen overnight.

Fourth, Biden is directly responsible for the suicide bombing that killed more than 100 people, including 13 U.S. military members. The Kabul airport was vulnerable to attack because of his disastrous policies and planning. The president had a chance to assume complete control of the airport prior to the evacuation, and chose to cede security responsibility to the Taliban instead.

Fifth, Biden destroyed America’s strength in the eyes of its enemies and allies. Even the U.K., a longtime partner and ally, will now likely refuse to join in any military endeavor while Biden is in office.

Sixth, Biden has emboldened America’s enemies. We’re not just talking about the Taliban. Hamas has made moves against Israel because the U.S. is weak. Iran is moving ahead with nuclear plans. North Korea is working again on an old nuclear reactor. Russia and China are doing whatever they want with Biden in power because they know he will do nothing.

Seventh, Biden has made America less safe. What do you think is safer, showing a strong military presence against terrorists in the Middle East or leaving Americans as hostages to the Taliban? Plus, Biden’s administration has approved 50,000 Afghans to live on U.S. military bases. At least a few of these people are likely going to be a problem along the way, as vetting certainly didn’t take place like normal during evacuations.

Extraordinary success? More like extraordinary failure. It takes real work to fail as badly as Biden has in Afghanistan. That’s why nearly 40 Republican leaders have publicly called for Biden’s resignation or impeachment, and the rest are probably at least thinking it.

Even Biden’s own party can barely stand him after his Afghanistan blunders. He won’t take the blame, won’t take questions and won’t take action to rescue trapped Americans. He is no commander-in-chief. His extraordinary success is an extraordinary mess.
