Everyone knows that if you live an unhealthy, sedentary lifestyle, it is likely that you will start to increase your body mass.
Apparently, according to eco-nuts who recently published a study in the journal Temperature are claiming that there is a correlation between climate change and children these days being fatter and unhealthier.
Climate change gets the blame for everything – which is hilarious when you consider the fact it doesn’t actually exist.
According to the study, more children are now staying inside due to climate change and because of this, they eat more and become fatter and are less active.
While it is true that children are staying inside more and are engaging in less activity, the reason they are getting fat has nothing to do with the weather outside and has everything to do with living a less active lifestyle while consuming processed, high sugar foods that are also addictive.
CBS Mornings covered the results of the study and pointed out that children are far less active than they were only a generation ago:
“Today’s children are 30% less aerobically fit than their parents were at their age, a new study found.”
“The study points to climate change and rising temperatures adversely affecting childhood obesity, as children spend less time exercising outdoors.”
CBS also noted that children are engaging in fewer physical activities and barely manage 60 minutes a day.
The study claims that warmer temperatures are less fun for children and “dangerous.”
Critics, however, have pointed out that the statistics used for the study were during the covid lockdowns and that the results are likely false because of it.
The study notes: “Climate change will not only exert direct effects like higher ambient temperatures in many regions, but it will also be responsible for indirect effects that can independently affect child physical activity habits, for example as observed during the Covid-19 global pandemic.”
The fact is climate change is not the problem here and it has everything to do with the society we live in today. Parents are forced to feed their children unhealthy food, which is also much cheaper than something fresh and the world we live in is not exactly friendly for children.
There is also a growing movement of simply embracing an unhealthy lifestyle – where it is “fat-shaming” to point out that someone is morbidly obese and probably bound for a heart attack if they keep up the status quo.
Sick and unhealthy people are far easier to control than a population of healthy minds and bodies, modern food was engineered this way, with addictive chemicals that will have you hooked to high sugar and fat content.
Turn your child’s television off, get them off their games and other devices and let them be outside in the fresh air.
I’m 77 and climate change is a farce..summers have always been hot and winter’s cold, duh!! My children played outside everyday till it was dark..all r slim even in 50’s…technology has become a babysitter for working parents…I worked too and my refrigerator never had soda or any junkfood…no excuse for most obesity and no excuse to blame it on climate change..thought government could seed clouds to make it rain???
I’d be more inclined to blame social media. Kids spend all their time on their phones or pc then playing ourdoors like noemal kids used to do.
the temperature where I live is cooler each year then previous years. Its 6 degrees cooler today then this date two years ago and 4 degrees cooler then last year. Over 18 dwgrees cooler then 1998 when I first moved to AZ. Each year July is cooling rather then warming. July & Aug in 98 to several years ago I never saw under 118. In fact it hit 131 twice. It’s now 102. They’ve been LYING about CLIMATE change for decades. In the 70s it was aerosol spray cans that caused climate change making a hole in our ozone. CLIMATE CHANGE has been going on since the beginning of time BEFORE humans.

I am 60 years old and when I grew up we had to walk everywhere. We weren’t given a car to drive or driven everywhere by our parents. I rode my bike out to the lake (15 miles each way) ate fresh fruit and veggies (bought by road side stands) watched very little TV and had to study every day. I raised my daughters the same way. Proud to say both are athletic engineers who recognize the garbage in the media and politicians. Fight back parents!
If parents took away the phones and other devices and made their kids go outside to play kids would be less fat. A sedentary lifestyle is what’s causing kids to be out of shape, not climate change. When I was a child in the 50s and 60s I was outside all summer, and had a job when I became a teen. We seldom watched TV and never went to movies. We didn’t have cell phones and other devices to keep us inside playing with/on them. We spent a lot more time outside than today’s kids do. While there may be more obese children now, there are also many healthy ones who aren’t overweight. They are usually the ones who are more active.
