Those who donate to Democrats and have businesses, are reaping what they sowed after they are forced to shut down in Democrat-run cities because it has become too unsafe to continue to keep the doors open.
One such business is Starbucks. The woke company has been pouring money into Democrat pet-projects for a while now and it seems that support is being repaid with profit loss. Surprise, surprise.
Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz has said that his company has been forced to shut down some of their coffee joints – which are making a profit – because employees no longer feel safe working in them.
During an internal interview, Shultz blamed Democrat leaders for the rampant crime and homelessness, often seen in their cities.
“I must say, in my view at the local, state and federal level, these governments across the country and leaders, mayors and governors, city councils have abdicated their responsibility in fighting crime and addressing mental health,” Schultz said during the meeting.
Discussing the closures of stores “that are not unprofitable,” Schultz said, “one of the primary concerns that our retail workers have is their own personal safety.”
“And then we heard the stories that go along with it about what happens in our bathrooms; the issue of mental illness, the issues of homelessness and the issues of crime,” he added.
Shultz then went on to describe Starbucks as a “window into America” due to their ubiquity and said “we are facing things in which the stores were not built for. And so, we’re listening to our people and closing stores, and this is just the beginning. There are going to be many more.”
It was announced last week that Starbucks will be closing sixteen stores, all located in Democrat metropolitan areas. The areas include Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, Philadelphia and Washington D.C.
Go woke, go broke.
Starbucks was also at the center of support for transgender individuals, and recently rolled out expanded health benefits for employees who are confused about the sex they were born with – even offering to pay for their gender reassignment surgery.
According to the Conservative Post, Shultz has a history of being on the radical left.

After saying Starbucks wants to “embrace diversity of all kinds,” he told a shareholder who supports traditional marriage that he should sell his shares and invest in some other company.
According to a report by Forbes, Schultz seemed a bit intolerant of any Starbucks shareholders who opposed gay marriage for moral or religious reasons.
Shultz also hates the Second Amendment after he said that law-abiding Americans were not welcome in his stores if they chose to carry a gun. In other words, he did not want Conservatives to buy his overpriced coffee.
Last week, Starbucks announced it would shutter 16 stores in major Democrat-run metropolitan areas, including Seattle, Los Angeles, Portland, Philadelphia and Washington, DC.
