Texas Dems State’s Biggest Losers After GOP Advances Election Integrity Bill

When Texas Democrat lawmakers took a private party plane to Washington, D.C., they were all about maskless selfies and putting on airs. And why not? The dishonest media backed their phony narrative that the Lone Star state was poised to roll back voting rights. Nothing could be further from the truth, and the country knows it.

“We’re talking about (it being) easy to vote, hard to cheat, and that’s what this bill is about,” GOP state Senator Bryan Hughes reportedly said. “It cracks down on those vote harvesters, those paid political operatives who try to coerce voters, who try to mislead voters, who try to get in between the voter and her ballot. We will not have that in Texas.”

After spreading Covid into the White House and being denied access to D.C. power-brokers, the Texas Democrats suffered the ultimate embarrassment. Joe Biden’s handlers rebuffed them and sent them across town to meet with Kamala Harris, possibly the worst Veep ever. Their less than auspicious welcome in the nation’s capital was stained with insult. Crawling back into Texas and pleading with a Democrat judge to avoid prosecution was humiliating.

“Once they step back into the state, they will be arrested and brought back to the Capitol, and we will be conducting business,” Texas Governor Greg Abbott said. “We have special sessions that last 30 days. And the governor calls them, and I will continue calling special session after special session because over time it is going to continue until they step up to vote.”

Their pathetic lawsuit against Governor Abbott is designed to help them avoid criminal responsibility for breaking the law by preventing a quorum to vote on the bill. Some of its race-baiting language proves the 22 Democrats who signed on are unfit to hold office.

According to reports, the liberals claim a conspiracy was hatched against them because “certain plaintiffs are either black or white,” “certain plaintiffs are distinguishable based upon the melanin in their skin,” and “certain plaintiffs are descendants of persons born in other countries.” With any luck, criminal defense attorneys across the country are taking notes. Who knows, this defense might get burglars and murderers off based on skin color. Not!

“The Dems have filed some of the most embarrassing lawsuits ever seen. Time for them to get to the Capitol and do the job they were elected to do,” Governor Abbott reportedly tweeted.

Arrest warrants were issued to the 50 cowards who ran away rather than represent their constituents. After all the political hijinks they thought would elevate them to national prominence backfired, there will be no more voting without showing a valid ID.

“Earlier today, the House Sergeant-at-Arms deputized members of Texas law enforcement to assist in the House’s efforts to compel a quorum. That process will begin in earnest immediately,” a spokesman for Republican House Speaker Dade Phelan reportedly said.

With every waking day, humiliation mounts. Texas Republicans recently advanced the voting integrity law Democrats failed to derail on an 18-11 party-line vote in the state’s senate.

Although the fake news media has largely supported the false narrative that the Texas law would amount to voter suppression, the country knows the truth. Like Georgia’s election integrity law, Texas expands access to the polls beyond the pre-pandemic rules. The key difference is that citizens will have to produce a legitimate document that proves they live in Texas and are U.S. citizens.

Running away is for losers and, perhaps, no group of elected officials has taken a drubbing quite like these Texas Democrats.
