Republican-Run States Successfully Reopen As Dems Call For Endless Lockdowns

Republican governors followed the science and succeeded in maximizing employment opportunities while minimizing coronavirus fatalities. The exact opposite can be said of Democrat governors, such as New York’s Andrew Cuomo and California’s Gavin Newsom, both of whom face calls to resign.

The facts are that Democrats and their colleagues in the fake news media created a phony narrative that anything former President Donald Trump did to slow the spread was wrong. After painting themselves into lockdown and mask-mandate corners, Democrats emerged as science deniers. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention never stated that wearing a mask would prevent someone from getting the virus. It was a loose strategy to “slow” the spread, along with working from home, washing your hands, and social distancing. The idea was to take steps that might prevent overwhelming hospitals.

“We think it’s a mistake to lift these mandates too early. Masks are saving a lot of lives,” Dr. Anthony Fauci reportedly said. “The president has been clear about the fact that in the first 100 days of this administration, we could save 50,000 lives if we stick to this. I’m hoping that the businesses, and the community, and people in Texas, the mayors, the county, will rethink this. I hope the governor rethinks this. It’s only a small piece of cloth that’s needed.”

The truth about wearing the masks advocated by CNN-popular Dr. Fauci is that upwards of 85 percent of people who consistently wore masks got COVID-19. What’s even more troubling for left-wing mask mandate states is that only 3.9 percent of patients who never wore a mask fell ill. It may seem counterintuitive, but the data appears to indicate mask-wearing results in higher rates of infection.

Following the science and commonsense prompted South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem to intelligently never institute lockdowns or mandate masks. South Dakota enjoyed excellent employment rates, mental health, and sustainable small business during the pandemic. Her Republican leadership serves as a beacon that others recently joined.

“We must now do more to restore livelihoods and normalcy for Texans by opening Texas 100 percent. Make no mistake, COVID-19 has not disappeared, but it is clear from the recoveries, vaccinations, reduced hospitalizations, and safe practices that Texans are using that state mandates are no longer needed,” Texas Governor Greg Abbott said. “With this executive order, we are ensuring that all businesses and families in Texas have the freedom to determine their own destiny.”

The Lone Star State had already vaccinated more than half of its senior citizen population and people with underlying conditions. Democrat Joe Biden and his left-wing advisors called the move “Neanderthal thinking,” despite the science pointing to precisely opposite conclusions. Lockdown, social distancing, and economic hardships have exponentially increased depression, suicide, and instances of drug and alcohol abuse and addiction. The Texas governor was promptly joined by other Republicans who vacated mask mandates and took determined measures to restore community normalcy.

Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves rescinded the state’s mask mandate on the heels of Texas. The pair of Republicans exchanged tweets that lifted the spirits of community members in both states.

“I just announced Texas is OPEN 100%. EVERYTHING,” Governor Abbott tweeted. “It is time!” Governor Reeves reportedly responded.

Along with South Dakota, Texas, and Mississippi, Republican-run states such as Iowa, Montana, and North Dakota dropped the requirement. Utah and Alabama, among others, are close to dropping it as well.

Almost ironically, left-leaning Newsweek ran a hit-piece under the headline: “Texas Reopens Despite Only Californians Dying From COVID in Higher Numbers.” Yes, West Coast liberals love their masks and are getting infected at a higher rate than people in GOP-run states. Maybe they should stop denying science.
