Progressives are losing their minds over the announcement that the Supreme Court is set to overturn the controversial Roe v. Wade (1973) this summer, after a draft was leaked, making abortion illegal in the United States.
California Governor Gavin Newsome, unsurprisingly, has come out against the law change and has vowed to build a “firewall” around California with a state constitutional amendment that would guarantee that women, er, “persons” in California can still kill their own children.
In 2018, Mississippi passed a law banning all abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy. At the time, the chatter was that the Supreme Court had enough numbers to overturn Roe altogether, which would return the question of abortion back to the states and remove it from being a constitutional right, implied in the right to privacy.
After the opinions of the justices were made public, abortion supporters were enraged and one was Newsome, who took to Twitter to tell everyone that he was going to “fight like hell” to keep the law in place in California.
California recently passed a controversial new law that appears to allow the death of babies after they have been born, in the “perinatal stage,” essentially tying the hands of coroners as they are unable to use any evidence pertaining to the death of an infant, against the parents in a court of law if foul play has been suspected.
Gov. Newsom later issued the following press statement:
California will not stand idly by as women across America are stripped of their rights and the progress so many have fought for gets erased. We will fight. California is proposing an amendment to enshrine the right to choose in our state constitution so that there is no doubt as to the right to abortion in this state. We know we can’t trust the Supreme Court to protect reproductive rights, so California will build a firewall around this right in our state constitution. Women will remain protected here.
It is ironic that Newsome and his ilk constantly bang on about women’s rights, but never mention the girls that are being aborted.
While the southern border is being invaded and millions pour in to grab a piece of the American dream – which Newsome allows it since California is a sanctuary state – millions of American babies are being slaughtered daily due to them being deemed an “inconvenience.”
The overturning of Roe v. Wade poses a few threats to the progressives that support it – the biggest being accountability.
It is no secret that sexual relations can and will eventually lead to a pregnancy, so maybe the progressives who love to get abortions, should maybe try to stick with traditional values like not having sex until marriage? It is just a thought, but there is no need for an abortion when you simply do not engage in activities that will lead to a pregnancy, it is really that simple.
Along with all the other sad and pathetic arguments as to why abortion should remain legal, the top two are always 1. Rape and 2. The life of the mother is in danger.
Both of those situations are extremely rare and are simply not the norm when it comes to the reasons stated as to why a woman is accessing an abortion. All life is precious and important, no matter how small or insignificant they may be to the likes of Gavin Newsome.

Per usual the demoncrats are not paying attention and like to act like morons!!. No where did it say the abortions were illegal. What they said was the Supreme Court should not be making these decisions, that it should be up to the States. Time for MAGA extremists to take control!!!!
