The crime in New York City is so bad, even illegal migrants, who dangerously crossed the Southern border from Mexico with the help of brutal cartels – don’t want to live there.
Texas Governor Greg Abbot announced a plan to send illegal migrants flooding the Texas border to the sanctuary city of New York and when the first bus of illegals arrived in NYC, only half the number of expected people actually arrived.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams during a press conference on Sunday, welcomed the new arrivals, but when he was told that only half had arrived, Adams suggested this was because many of those aboard the bus, simply got off before they arrived in the city because of the fear around the rising crime rate and lawlessness that has swept the Big Apple in recent years.
“We were led to believe about 40 people should have been on that bus. Only 14 got off.” Adams said.
“Because of the fear that something was going to happen to them if they came to this location, people got off earlier,” the mayor theorized. “And we are concerned about that because we don’t want people being dropped off [just] anywhere.”
A City Hall spokeswoman later walked back the mayor’s comments, saying that he was not referring to the city’s ever growing crime rate but offered no alternative answer.
Over the past year, the crime rate in New York City has shot up over 40 percent compared to 2021, which was bad enough at the time and according to statistics released by NYPD, hate crimes are up 13 percent and transit crime has spiked a whopping 53 percent.
Upon arrival, migrants were cabbed to nearby shelters – which are already overburdened by the city’s homeless.
The covid lockdowns and tight restrictions on the city, also took its toll and the summer of 2020 saw homicides and other violent crimes rise exponentially – New York City looked like the bad old days again under the “leadership” of then mayor Bill DeBlasio.
The Big Apple is rotting from the inside out and it will continue as long as Democrats are still in charge of one of the world’s biggest – and most populated – cities in the world.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, has also promised Democrat states that any illegals that arrive in his state, will be quickly moved on to the Democrats who allowed the border crisis in the first place.
Right now, Washington D.C is struggling under the weight of new illegal arrivals from Republican states, and it is getting so bad, the mayor of D.C reached out to the Biden administration to get help from the National Guard to keep the city under control – a request that was promptly refused.
