President Joe Biden may have hit a snag in his quest to destroy America, after a federal judge in Louisiana blocked his move to end Title 42 on May 23.
Title 42 is a Trump-era health measure and has been used to deport migrants who enter the United States illegally. The removal of these border restrictions would undoubtedly have a huge impact on an already stressed border.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) are preparing for a border surge regardless and have said that what could be coming at the border would be “historic,” as migrant numbers are expected to triple.
A Louisiana district court judge has announced that the move to get rid of Title 42 will be blocked until the Biden administration has had some serious negotiations with border states.
A senior administration official has said that the White House plans on complying with the order – according to Politico.
The official stated:
“If and when the court issues the TRO [temporary restraining order] the department is planning to comply with that order,” adding, “It really makes no sense to us that the plaintiffs would demand, and the court would order, that [Department of Homeland Security] be stopped in its use in expedited removal, which is going to prevent us from adequately preparing for the aggressive applications for immigration law when public health expires.”
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has released a plan to address what will happen after Title 42 is removed, which will be a massive surge on the southern border and includes more resources for medical support and transportation at the border – not any different from what the previous plan was before.
There is also plenty of resistance in the House of Representatives, as a 58-member bipartisan caucus, is backing a bill that would extend Title 42, not remove it. Republicans and Democrats have both voiced their concerns about the hasty removal of Title 42 and have said that the DHS plan was inadequate to deal with the situation at hand.
Democratic Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly said, “The administration hasn’t even prepared, and they don’t have a plan for what to expect. Forget about the unexpected part, I’m just asking for the first part of this,” adding, “We know what the situation on the ground is going to be. Let’s come up with a detailed plan and put it in place – and I just haven’t seen that.”
During March, the border saw a surge of 210,000 attempted border crossings and the Biden administration has said that it is preparing for at least 18,000 migrants per day, once Title 42 is dropped. Those numbers are expected to climb exponentially, as supply chains and food shortages become an everyday occurrence.
There have also been Ukrainians turning up at the southern border, so this crisis is not just about Mexico, Central America and South America.
This is a migrant flood from across the globe and if you were paying attention to what happened in Europe in 2015 – after German Chancellor Angela Merkel welcomed refugees with open arms – you would know that this is not a good thing. The face of Europe has been permanently changed and crime on the continent has skyrocketed. Take heed.
