It’s an open secret that Democrats have been embroiled in an internal civil war that pits progressives against moderates, and those sentiments may be undermining the party’s New York City mayoral primary.
Americans saw clear evidence that liberal extremists are determined to implement their radical climate change and defund the police agenda when a mob of progressives recently blocked all White House exits. That insurgency appears to have spilled into their primary process as a former police officer running in the Democratic Party’s primary suffered election contamination.
After taking a solid lead in the Big Apple’s primary, Eric Adams demonstrated the integrity one would hope for in an elected official. He went on the record indicating the process was faulty because his campaign noted more than 100,000 ballots above the total cast. What the 20-year retired NYPD captain may not have anticipated was either a badly flawed or rigged process.
“Today, we petitioned the court to preserve our right to a fair election process and to have a judge oversee and review ballots, if necessary,” Adam’s campaign said in a statement. “We are notifying the other campaigns of our lawsuit through personal service, as required by law, because they are interested parties.”
It appears the vote-counters punished him by reducing his lead by more than 1,000 votes in a tight contest with preferred liberal candidate Kathryn Garcia. Widely touted by the New York Times as a progressive darling, her vast experience in the sanitation department apparently makes her more worthy than a decorated police veteran and president of the Brooklyn borough. But what catches the fake news media outlet’s fancy is that Garcia “is also committed to reforming the New York Police Department.”
“She said she would look for (a commissioner) who is ‘prepared for culture change, which means that you’re going to have to take some tough stances.’ As an example, she said, officers who did not wear masks during last year’s protests should have been docked pay,” the New York Times editorial board reportedly wrote.
The country watched as Democrats changed elections laws and eliminated safeguards against fraud during the 2020 elections. Few dispute that Democrats gamed the system to push their candidate across the finish line. It’s no stretch of the imagination to think liberals will go to extremes to prevent a pro-cop candidate from running New York City and refunding the police.
“It was announced overnight in New York City that vast irregularities and mistakes were made and that Eric Adams, despite an almost insurmountable lead, may not win the race. The fact is, based on what has happened, nobody will ever know who really won,” former President Donald Trump reportedly said. “Watch the mess you are about to see in New York City, it will go on forever. They should close the books and do it all over again, the old-fashioned way, when we had results that were accurate and meaningful.”
Adams reportedly filed a lawsuit to ensure the integrity of absentee ballot counting going forward. After the primary night debacle, upwards of 124,000 absentee ballots have yet to be counted.
