Does Merrick Garland Have Hidden Motives for Going After Parents?

Parents who have vocally opposed critical race theory in public schools may now have to contend not just with local school boards, but also federal law enforcement officials.

Attorney General Merrick Garland has instructed the FBI to work with state and local leaders to “facilitate the discussion of strategies for addressing threats against school administrators, board members, teachers, and staff.” While the decree shouldn’t be surprising coming from the Biden Administration, it should also be noted that the AG may have a personal reason for siding with school officials over parents.

Garland’s daughter Rebecca is married to Xan Tanner, a co-founder of an educational company that some have rightly called an “indoctrination platform.” It aims to turn students into far-left “social justice warriors” rather than effectively educate them. The company hosts webinars on topic such as “equity” and “dismantling white supremacy,” and works with the progressive Reimagining Integration: Diverse and Equitable Schools project. Their stated goal is to ensure that “all students understand the role that institutional racism and other forms of oppression play in our society.”

Democrats have long coddled public school teacher unions, caving into their demands in exchange for the political contributions and support during election years. Even so, when the public school system first started calling for parents who strongly oppose its views on education to be treated as “domestic terrorists,” many thought that the Attorney General would realize the implications of giving in to its demands. Sadly, it would seem that rule of law has taken a backseat to his family’s wealth and prosperity.

The needs of the children who are failing to receive an adequate education are nowhere on his list of priorities, it would seem. Granted, some parents have used extreme measures to combat leftist indoctrination and mask mandates in public schools, including resorting to harassment and cyberbullying. However, parents who cross these bounds can be dealt with under existing laws. There is no need for the FBI to get involved, other than to send a message to parents that they need to shut up and do what their school boards tell them to.

While the AG is using his power to ensure his son-in-law’s business is allowed to continue making money, other Democrats are making it clear that they do not believe that parents should have a right to decide what children learn in public schools.

What’s more, AG Garland’s emphasis on curtailing parents’ rights to oppose public school talking points completely ignores the forms of harassment used by public school boards against the parents. This has included turning off microphones and ending comment periods. In Merrick Garland’s view, the laws are only meant to protect the “right” side — and that’s his own.

  1. It amazes me how this so called man and Biden can honestly say a dang thing to parents when they let their own Democrat Sinema get bullied and don’t do a darn thing about it. Of course the two idiots don’t have children in school subjected to this ignorance either.

  2. Garland needs to be stopped on telling parents what to do no one has the right to tell parents not to get involved with there childrens education so to Garlandgo FUCK.YOURSELF I WILL GET INVOLVED WITH MY CHILDRENS EDUCATION AND THERE IS NOTHING YOU OR ANY ONE ELSE IS GOING TO SYOP.ME FUCK M OFF AND DIE GARLAND AND TAJE YOUR FAMILY WITH YOU

  3. It should be abundantly clear, by this time, that this administration regards the American people to be its greatest enemy.

  4. After parents are dragged into gulags for their terrorist activities what happens to the kids? State orphanage where they can be properly molded? Is that the aim of the game?

  5. School boards are elected to be there maybe parents should get elected to there school boards then they can take it on from the inside what they gonna do then.

  6. Can you even imagine if Merrick Garland had made it though to the Supreme Court as a Life long justice. He has lost his moral compass and it was good he didn’t get the appointment. For once the Republicans did the right thing. It doesn’t happen very often, but this one time it worked out for the best of the nation.

  7. Time to man up folks! This administration hates America and intends to bring down the US. They think we will do nothing about it. Like I said, time to man up!
