In the spirit of bipartisanship, Republicans agree that socialist Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez deserves a prominent role in the next administration.
If it were up to GOP Senator Lindsey Graham, AOC would serve as Biden’s chief of staff, run the Department of Education, and write every White House speech. The facts are that every time the dumbest person in Congress opens her mouth, Republicans win.
“The Democratic National Convention I thought was really successful considering the pandemic, and really used technology wisely. But, you know, the fact that an AOC only got, what? Three minutes or five minutes? When she speaks to a broad section of young people who are interested in what she has to say, even if they don’t agree with everything she says,” Obama reportedly said. “You give her a platform.”
Senator Graham couldn’t agree more. With tongue-in-cheek, he went on the record urging leaders on both sides of the aisle to elevate the liberal firebrand.
“In the spirit of unity, I completely agree with President @BarackObama’s request that the Democratic Party allow a prominent place for @AOC and her socialist message,” the South Carolina Republican facetiously remarked on Twitter. “It’s always good to find bipartisan agreement!”
Republicans have routinely credited AOC and her radical “Squad” with dragging the Democratic Party’s true intentions into the light. Obama conducted an 8-year trench war against law enforcement, tarnishing their reputation as institutionally racist. Although the ex-president used more palatable language, he set the stage for riots in the streets and the Defund the Police movement. AOC and her Squad members have also made it abundantly clear that liberals want to move the country into socialism. They want what they want and continue to ignore systemic failures of the Soviet Union, Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea, and the oppression of the Chinese people.
“We lost races we shouldn’t have lost. Defund the police almost cost me my race because of an attack ad,” Democrat Rep. Abigail Spanberger said. “Don’t say socialism ever again. We need to get back to basics.”
With 433 races in the U.S. House of Representatives called, the GOP increased its rank-and-file by upwards of 10 seats and have AOC’s radical socialism to thank, in part. With a pair of seats yet to be called, Republicans hold the lead in both races. In the Senate, the GOP maintains 50 seats with two Georgia runoff elections coming in January. Republicans anticipate winning one, if not both seats, to keep their Senate majority. Much of the campaign advertisements and speeches point to AOC’s advocacy to lead Democrats off the socialist, anti-cop cliff.
Beyond election results, AOC has managed to expose the so-called “Green New Deal” scam Democrats had been orchestrating. After wasting taxpayer money to craft the most comprehensive “green” initiative to date, not a single Democrat — or Republican — voted to pass the $93 trillion legislation. It proved that Democrats were an all-talk and no follow-through party that cannot meaningfully advance the best interest of working American families. That’s why Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell brought her bill to a floor vote and would welcome a bigger platform for AOC.
