Democratic National Committee Chair Tom Perez stunned Americans before the 2016 election by insisting there was no room for pro-life people in their party. After Hillary Clinton got soundly beaten in the campaign, Perez was noticeably quiet as President Donald Trump and Joe Biden squared off.
But with Election Day in our rearview and the country embroiled in recounts and legal challenges, Perez appears to be pulling Biden’s strings. The former vice president has assembled a pro-abortion staff. He plans to roll back the protections implemented by President Trump and usher in an age of unprecedented infanticide.
“We think many of these issues actually could be addressed day one, in an executive order that explicitly talks about the new administration’s commitment to sexual reproductive health care,” Planned Parenthood Action Fund official Jacqueline Ayers reportedly said. “I think that this is a great victory, but we know that we are going to have a lot of work to do because it’s not just about undoing the harm of the last four years, but really making sure that we’re moving the ball forward…”
Biden tapped Ron Klain as his presumptive White House chief of staff in the event he garners 270 Electoral College votes after recounts and challenges have been resolved. Klain worked for ex-Vice President Al Gore and has been an unabashed abortion cheerleader. His extremist positions include allowing only abortion advocates to become federal and U.S. Supreme Court justices.
He went as far as to tweet that NARAL Pro-Choice America leader Ilyse Hogue should replace retiring U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy. This is the man who would guide and direct a Biden administration into dark times for unborn children.
If Democrats were eerily quiet about abortion in the run-up to the 2020 election, it was largely because President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence changed the culture. More Americans passionately believe in the sanctity of life. A Gallup poll conducted in 2019 indicated that 49 percent of Americans consider themselves pro-life, compared to 46 percent believing abortion is moral.
Since taking the oath of office in 2017, Trump has enacted determined policies to protect human life. These include appointing three pro-life justices to the high court. The Trump Administration joined more than 20 countries in a U.N. resolution rejecting an international right to abortion, and cut $9 billion used to fund abortion in other countries under the previous administration. The president has fought tooth-and-nail to deny Planned Parenthood abortion clinics taxpayer dollars to terminate the lives of unborn children. His “Protect Life” rule under Title X helped slash abortion-for-profit practices by Planned Parenthood.
“As president, Biden will work to codify Roe v. Wade, and his Justice Department will do everything in its power to stop the rash of state laws that so blatantly violate the constitutional right to an abortion, such as so-called TRAP laws, parental notification requirements, mandatory waiting periods, and ultrasound requirements,” Biden’s policy platform states.
Abortions have fallen to their lowest level in decades. Joe Biden will promptly use executive orders to fund abortions with taxpayer money and make Planned Parenthood abortion doctors wealthy again.
